Privacy Policy
We keep very little data and we don't sell or share it.
What we collect
Almost nothing. You don't create an account, so we have no name, email address, or personal identifier linked to you.
When you join the chat for the first time, you pick a nickname. We keep it so you can use it again the next time you come back. Messages you post are saved as part of the room's ongoing chat history.
Chat messages
Messages you post stay part of the room's history, and other people, including people who join later, can see them.
Please don't post your real name, location, or contact details - in the chat or anywhere on the site. The same goes for information about anyone else.
Technical logs
Like most web services, our server may keep short-lived technical logs (such as request timestamps, IP addresses and browser type). We use it only to keep the service secure and diagnose technical problems. Logs are deleted after 7 days.
Cookies and tracking
No advertising cookies. No cross-site trackers. No analytics tools that follow you around the web. We may set a minimal session cookie to keep you logged in and maintain your connection to the chat room.
Third-party services
We load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser sends a standard request to Google's servers when it downloads them.
Data sharing
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers, data brokers, or commercial third parties. The only circumstance where we'd share anything is a legally valid court order.
Children's privacy
VentSpot isn't intended for anyone under 13. If you're under 13, please don't use this website.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that meaningfully affects your data, we'll post the update here with a new effective date.
